the article internet marketing strategy

The article internet marketing strategy for getting backlinks to your site goes something like this:

  1. write articles that contain backlinks to your site and submit them to other websites.
  2. Send the articles to other sites: ezines, article directories, and even other webmasters. The article ends up distributed around the web, with backlinks to your site, and the hopefully higher search engines ratings. You also hope that webmasters looking for material will use your articles, spreading them further around the web. Indeed I have done this myself, there are some good articles out there (and frankly there's quite a lot of trash too!).
  3. Reapeat steps one and two! Some people spend countless hours of article writing and submitting. Even using the semi-automated software for the submitting job this is not fun! It takes a long time getting backlinks to your site this way. (Can't you tell I tried it and hated it, even though I love writing!)

There are services and software to help you in getting backlinks to your site using the article internet marketing strategy. They work something like this:  you provide an article and the same article gets sent to a whole load of directories.

There are services that will submit unique articles for you. They use software to make these articles, and other software to submit them.

There is also some free article writing software. One such is called Article Writing Assistant. Apparently it helps you research and write "really exceptional articles".  It grabs the latest relevant information on any topic and brings it into the editor. It sounds a useful tool, but it's not really clear that it actually writes the articles for you, it appears to me to be more of a research tool. I'm sure it's a valuable tool, but how much time it saves I'm uncertain. Anyone liking to comment is very welcome!

I'm told the reason so many people are unsuccessful using this strategy is as follows. The search engine initially pick up on the links from these articles.  Then they realize that they are all duplicates, which diminishes the value of all of the links, not helping your ranking like unique backlinks do. Is it true? It seems to be true that alot of people do not get the article internet marketing strategy to work for them, but then some do.

An acquaintance of mine set up an article directory and found that very few articles were ever actually viewed much at all. Some people, though, send backlinks to their articles, driving traffic to the articles, which can then either be used by others, or directly serve for marketing (people clicking on the links within). Squidoo lenses are often used like this, and it seems to be a more successful article internet marketing strategy.

one suggested article internet marketing strategy

This is what I suggest for an article internet marketing strategy marketing:

  1. Post a few articles with the major article directories, with links back to your site.
  2. Use Squidoo articles to create links to your site and your articles, and to get traffic from other Squidoo users.
  3. Bookmark your web pages (including the Squidoo pages and directory articles) with Delicious, Digg and StumbleUpon.
  4. Comment on blogs that use the recent comments widget. Find relevant blogs using Google and try to find ones with a good PageRank.
  5. Repeat the above a few at a time, don't go mad but do try to pick the highest ranked article directories.
